Great to meet you!

Dr. Moreno is a licensed clinical social worker and clinical supervisor with over 15 years of experience. Her experience ranges from therapy, school-based mental health, and community leadership. She is the founder of Thrive Social Work and Therapy, a practice built on the values of compassion, cultural responsiveness, and clinical excellence. Dr. Moreno has worked extensively with individuals facing grief, trauma, suicidal ideation, and food-related addictions. She is also experienced in supporting students impacted by bullying and emotional distress, providing a safe and affirming space for healing. Her holistic approach helps clients build insight, resilience, and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in cultural humility. I want to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their experiences, identify patterns, and build on their strengths. I integrate evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, and mindfulness, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the client.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered. I focus on helping individuals gain practical tools to manage their emotions, navigate challenges, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. Whether we are working through trauma, grief, food-related issues, bullying, or life transitions, sessions are structured to promote insight, self-compassion, and forward momentum. Clients often walk away with a clearer understanding of their experiences, a renewed sense of hope, and strategies they can apply daily.
