Great to meet you!

I believe in the power of a good solid working relationship as healing. I have a background of 15+ years in rehabilitation counseling. disability,, chronic health, anxiety, depression, career concerns/adjustment and grief support. I am a certified work incentive coordinator (CWIC) for people navigating SSDI/SSI benefits. I am highly culturally sensitive and being of South Asian descent but born in USA, am attuned to issues around first generation immigrant concerns.

My approach to therapy

My job as your therapist is to provide a safe and supportive space for you to share your experiences, thoughts, feelings and goals. I help work with you on goal setting, refining goals and identifying roadblocks. I also provide insight into how our past experiences shape how we view life. I believe in working holistically towards healing, which may mean focusing on outside lifestyle behaviors (diet, exercise, sleep), social supports, career and spirituality.

What you can expect from me

Better insight into current schemas and approach to issues, root causes, and tools/building blocks for healing. This will be a journey where you can process life events as they occur in therapy for retraining our brain and thought patterns.
