Great to meet you!

My goal with therapy is to provide a safe and open space to process and prioritize a growth mindset. I tailor my therapeutic approach to best match the needs of the client and truly believe in promoting acceptance. Some modalities I have experience with and may incorporate into therapy are Acceptance Compassion Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Here-and-now Counseling, Trauma-Informed, and Holistic. I have a passion for working with individuals who are looking to unpack complex emotions and experiences that have shaped their understanding of the world.

My approach to therapy

This focus has often aligned me with working with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment to change, and grief & loss. My specialties include Veterans experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder due to combat trauma, readjustment counseling (military transitioning to civilian life), and Birth Trauma Counseling (parents who experienced infertility, loss, emotional distress). I offer supportive and non-judgmental individual therapy to assist with themes of healing, shame & guilt, and growing self-love and compassion.

What you can expect from me

My life experiences have shaped and carried me to become a therapist as well as provided me with a unique lens to view the profession. While serving as an Army Medic deployed to Iraq, I was awarded the chance to work alongside a Clinical Social Worker whose compassion was impressive and sparked my enthusiasm for this field. Equally as impactful was my journey to motherhood which was not linear and deepened my passion for the work. There is truly no other field I would rather be in.
