Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Naina Rana, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over six years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges. As a wheelchair user, I understand firsthand how deeply mental health impacts every part of life. My own journey has shaped my compassionate, client-centered approach, and I’m dedicated to helping clients discover their capacity for growth and healing.

At Peakworks Counseling Center in Branford, Connecticut, I provide culturally responsive, virtual therapy for clients across all across Connecticut. Whether you’re struggling with relationship conflict, relentless anxiety, burnout, or identity stress, I’m here to support you with care that honors your whole story.

Specialties include:

  • Relationship therapy & marriage counseling
  • Anxiety, stress, & emotional regulation
  • Cultural identity & intergenerational family conflict
  • Trauma healing & self-confidence building
  • Burnout & work-life balance

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy combines empathy, active listening, and evidence-based techniques, tailored to each person’s unique needs. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. By blending Western psychology with mindfulness practices rooted in Eastern philosophy, I take a holistic approach that addresses both the mental and emotional aspects of healing. My goal is not only to help you manage symptoms but also to empower you to understand and work through the deeper causes of your struggles.

Whether I’m working with individuals or couples, I prioritize respect, collaboration, and authenticity. Together, we’ll focus on your personal goals—building insight, strengthening coping skills, and fostering lasting growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore their feelings, challenges, and goals. Drawing on a West-meets-East approach, I integrate practical tools from Western psychology with mindfulness practices inspired by Eastern philosophies. This holistic path helps couples navigate challenges around intimacy, parenting, finances, and long-term goals, empowering them to create lasting, positive change.

In individual therapy, I take a personalized approach to address each client’s unique needs—whether managing anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions. My goal is to help you regain a sense of control, build resilience, and foster personal growth. Each session is designed to provide a safe, empowering environment where you can share openly and leave feeling more equipped and confident to face life’s challenges.
