Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Nakeema! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, self-esteem, trauma, and other challenges that can affect well-being and everyday functioning. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding a therapist who makes you feel heard, understood, and supported is an important part of that process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, recognizing that each person brings their own experiences, strengths, and goals into the therapeutic space. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves, exploring difficult experiences, developing greater self-awareness, and learning practical skills that can support meaningful and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed, and judgment-free space where we’ll get to know one another and discuss what brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll identify what you’d like to work on and create realistic goals that feel meaningful to you. Most importantly, come as you are. You don’t have to have it all figured out.
