Great to meet you!

Since 2015, I have had the privilege to work with clients in private practice as well as community health settings, including offering therapy in clients' homes and schools. My strong interest in trauma work led me to pursue additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), with a special focus on complex trauma and traumatic grief. I am now a certified EMDR therapist as well as an EMDR Consultant-in-Training, helping other EMDR therapists become certified.

My approach to therapy

I currently offer telehealth individual therapy services for adults, as well as short-term assessment services for clients seeking a support letter for gender-affirming surgery. When doing individual therapy, I primarily use EMDR as a modality for my practice. Although EMDR was originally developed as a therapy for severe trauma, it provides a holistic model for understanding how our past experiences shape our current reality and what kind of future we believe is possible.

What you can expect from me

In all my therapeutic work, I use a collaborative approach where we work together to establish a relationship of trust and identify your existing strengths and resources as we work through the issues that are causing you distress. I believe human beings are oriented towards wholeness and healing the way sunflowers turn towards the light. Sometimes all we need is someone who can travel with us for a little way on our journey until we feel confident that we can continue on our own.
