Dr. Namita Shiralkar, MD is a highly skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience providing care for children, adolescents and adults.
Dr. Shiralkar’s calling and passion for medicine began early on. As a senior in high school, she was accepted to the highly prestigious BS/MD program at Texas Tech University, where she continued to excel academically. Awarded Dean’s Honors list, Outstanding Graduating Senior and Magna Cum Laude, she completed her Bachelors of Science with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, during which she spent two years doing clinical rotations in El Paso, gaining invaluable experience and learning medical Spanish. Dr. Shiralkar went on to complete her adult psychiatry residency at Texas A&M University School of Medicine Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Following this, she completed a two year fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she honed her expertise in treating younger patients and family units.
