Hello my name is Nancy Alvarez. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I am bilingual, and offer therapy in Spanish and English.I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Masters in Counseling and Bachelor's in Psychology.
I specialize in working with individuals in the Hispanic community. In addition, I have training in marriage and couples therapy, multicultural diversity, crisis intervention and family violence.
My formal education and clinical experience has prepared me to provide mental health services to individuals, group, couples and family. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life changes, and trauma. My approach to therapy is to collaboratively work together to set goals and find solutions together, to overcome a problem or issue.
I strive to create an environment where individuals feel welcomed, safe and understood. I offer a non-judgmental, neutral stance. You can expect to take away a better understanding of yourself, your needs and what you can improve in order to be a better version of yourself.
