About me
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned a Masters Degree of Social Work in 2002 from Hunter College School of Social Work in Manhattan. I have experience in both private practice and outpatient hospital settings. I enjoy working with people to resolve various life issues in order to help them obtain or restore confidence and fulfilling relationships.
I specialize in working to empower my clients, both children and adults, and their families who may be experiencing relational or other obstacles, which may include, but not limited to trauma, divorce or separation, loss, mood disorders, anxiety, panic, self esteem issues, cultural diversity, and sexual orientation. I do believe in a multidisciplinary approach, when necessary, to provide the most efficacious treatment. My training includes Cognitive behavioral therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Family systems and some Substance abuse training. I look forward to connecting with you. During our first session, I would like to get to know a bit about you and what currently brings you to seek therapy. I will have specific questions for you that are meant to set you up for a successful experience. Some conversations may be emotionally challenging, however, therapy is often a space many find relief. My hope is that working together, it can be for you.
