Nancy Cerullo

Reaching out for help can be scary. I aim to make that process a smooth one with support and encouragement. I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience. Clients come to me with a wide range of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, illness and much more. I help them to understand themselves and their circumstances more fully. Together in a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship, we collaborate making changes in one's circumstances, life, and oneself.

My clients often describe me as down to earth and approachable, perhaps because I treat my clients the way I would hope a family member in need would be. My therapeutic style is eclectic, drawing on several theoretical perspectives, but always tailoring to the needs of each person I work with.

I hold degrees from Fordham University and SUNY Stony Brook in psychology and social work and work as an adjunct professor in addition to my counseling practice.

What I see time and time again for clients who come to me is a feeling of powerlessness. Whether it be over their symptoms, their family members, relationships and even themselves. Working together in a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship, we collaborate to regain some of that power back, making changes in one's circumstances, life, and oneself, at their own pace.
