You should know that I am a survivor, am the first person in my family to earn a college degree and am driven to not only continue to hold myself accountable but also my patients accountable when it comes to meeting their full potential. I believe that there are a lot of excuses to explain why we didn't meet our goals and expectations in life, however, when we work together the excuses will begin to dwindle and the real work will begin.

My approach to therapy is to focus on the person, what they truly want and need and address barriers to attaining their goals in life. I want to help each of my patients work from the true self and not continue to be on survival mode or pretending to be something their not. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, therefore there will always be homework assignments each week to complete and review at each session. therapy is about setting the goals and working as a team to meet them.

The type of environment that I create is one that is nurturing and understanding, but also direct in order to hold each of my patients accountable. I hope that each of my patients is aware that each challenge that they face is an opportunity to grow as they continue to work with me in treatment.
