Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois and have been seeing clients for more than a decade. I worked for several years in a university setting with undergraduate and graduate students before starting my private practice. I have experience working with young adults, my fellow millennials, and other healthcare professionals. I specialize in relational trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

My approach to therapy

My approach helps you build awareness and confidence by fostering a space for mindfulness, deep connections, and self-acceptance. My goal as we work together is for you to feel understood, actively challenged, and supported in your growth. We'll work with your nervous system, cultivate self-compassion, and explore current patterns that keep you stuck and struggling. I'm collaborative, reassuring, and down to earth as I empower you to unlearn messages and strategies that are no longer working for you.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect me to facilitate you sharing your story and primary concerns by asking you lots of questions about your current situation and background. This helps me assess your symptoms and begin to plan how I can best help you reach your goals. In later sessions, I will follow your lead while also helping connect themes and patterns that arise to your long term goals and previous history. That way you can feel like you are gaining insights, building self-awareness/mindfulness, and trying new action steps to make progress on your healing journey.
