Great to meet you!

I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from [university name] and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Over the past six years, I've focused my practice on helping adults work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use — often where these overlap, since one rarely shows up without touching the others. I'm trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a specialized approach for processing traumatic or distressing experiences that continue to affect how someone thinks, feels, or copes in daily life.

My path into this work came from [wanting to help people move past what's been holding them back / seeing how much anxiety and old trauma shape everyday struggles / your own reason here] — and years in, what still motivates me is watching clients realize they're not broken, just stuck, and that things can genuinely shift.

I work primarily with adults, and my practice draws people from all walks of life — those managing everyday anxiety, navigating a depressive episode, processing past trauma, or taking an honest look at their relationship with alcohol or substances.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends traditional talk therapy with EMDR, tailored to what each client needs rather than a one-size-fits-all model. I believe that being fully heard, without judgment, is often the first step toward real change — so I start by listening closely and building a relationship where you feel safe enough to be honest, including about the parts of yourself you're not proud of.

From there, we work together to identify the patterns keeping you stuck — whether that's anxious thinking, an old trauma resurfacing in new situations, or a coping mechanism that helped once but isn't helping anymore. For clients working through trauma, I use EMDR to help process experiences that talk therapy alone hasn't fully resolved.

I bring both structure and flexibility to sessions. Some clients want concrete tools and homework between sessions; others need more room to explore and process at their own pace. I adjust to that rather than asking you to fit my method — the goal is progress that feels real to you, not just clinically "correct."

What you can expect from me

our first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's bringing you to therapy right now, a bit about your history, and what you're hoping will feel different. You don't need to have it all figured out or explain things perfectly — we'll get there together.

I'll also share how I work, answer any questions you have about therapy or about me specifically, and we'll start to map out what treatment might look like — whether that's talk therapy, EMDR, or a combination, depending on what you're bringing in.

There's no pressure to dive into anything you're not ready to talk about yet. My goal for the first session is simple: for you to leave feeling heard, and to have a sense of whether this feels like the right fit before we commit to ongoing work together.
