Beginning therapy can feel like a big step and it's completely normal to feel a mix of emotions. My goal is to create a safe welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment.
During our first session we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll invite you to share what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope will be different in your life. There is no pressure to tell your entire story in one session. We will move at a pace that will feel comfortable for you.
You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach, and together we will begin to identify your goals for therapy. Rather than focusing only on problems, we will also explore your strengths, and resources that have already supported your healing. Throughout our work together, I'll provided evidence based strategies and encouragement, while respecting your unique experiences and values.
By the end of your first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the direction of our work together, some initial insights into what may be contributing to your struggles and a personalized plan for moving forward. Most importantly, I hope you'll leave feeling better understood and reassured that you don't have to face life's challenges alone.
Therapy is a partnership, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you work toward greater peace, confidence, and emotional well-being.
