Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Nancy, and I’m glad you’re here. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or weighed down by something you’ve been carrying for a long time, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with children, teens, adults, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other difficult experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood.

I bring over 7 years of experience in community based mental health, including working with Wisconsin CCS programs and providing in home services to children, adults, and families. I’ve supported individuals through trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, substance use challenges, homelessness, end of life transitions, and other complex life circumstances. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University and a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. I have additional training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I want you to feel comfortable with me, but I also want our work together to have direction. We’ll identify what you want to change, explore the experiences and patterns that may be getting in the way, and work toward practical steps that fit your life. I draw from CBT, EMDR, trauma-focused approaches, narrative therapy, attachment-based therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I’ll meet you where you are while also helping you recognize your strengths, consider new perspectives, and make changes that move you closer to the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and learning what matters most to you. You don’t need to have everything organized or know exactly what you need before we meet. I’ll listen, ask questions, and help us begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic. We’ll also talk about what you need from me as your therapist so we can build a relationship that feels comfortable and productive. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of where we can begin and confidence that you have someone in your corner.
