Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping adolescents and adults feel heard, understood, and supported in their mental health care. My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that treatment should be individualized to the whole person - not just a diagnosis.

I completed advanced graduate training in psychiatric mental health nursing and have experience supporting individuals with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and life transitions. I enjoy working with patients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin and helping them develop a clear, manageable path forward.

My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly about what you are experiencing and feel actively involved in decisions about your care.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach to psychiatric care. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I want to understand the bigger picture - including your medical history, relationships, daily routines, stressors, sleep, lifestyle, previous treatment experiences, and the goals that matter most to you.

When medication may be helpful, I use evidence-based prescribing and take time to discuss why a medication is being considered, potential benefits, possible side effects, alternatives, and what we will monitor together. Treatment is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe patients should understand and feel comfortable with their treatment plan.

I also incorporate supportive therapeutic strategies, education, practical coping tools, and healthy lifestyle considerations when appropriate. My goal is to help you achieve meaningful, sustainable improvement while maintaining an open and collaborative relationship throughout treatment.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to understand what has been happening, what you would like to change, and what has or has not worked for you in the past.

We will review your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, previous treatments, sleep, daily functioning, relationships, stressors, substance use when relevant, and your personal treatment goals. I may also use evidence-based screening tools when they can help clarify symptoms or guide treatment.

You can expect the appointment to feel conversational rather than rushed. I encourage questions and want you to understand the reasoning behind any recommendations we make. By the end of the visit, we will discuss my clinical impressions and develop an individualized treatment plan together, which may include medication management, supportive strategies, additional assessment, therapy recommendations, coordination with other healthcare providers, or a combination of approaches.
