Great to meet you!

With over 25 years of experience working with children and young people, I bring patience, understanding, and genuine care to every client I serve. My background as an elementary school teacher and school counselor has shaped my passion for helping children feel seen, supported, and capable of growth.

In my private practice, I use a flexible, individualized approach tailored to each child’s needs. I incorporate play therapy, hands-on activities, solution-focused strategies, and talk therapy to create meaningful sessions. I provide a nurturing, safe space where children can express themselves, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to thrive. I also work closely with families to support each child in a positive and empowering way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, child-centered, and relationship-based. I tailor each session to the child’s strengths and personality, using a mix of play, conversation, and practical strategies.

I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where children feel accepted and understood. Together, we work on building emotional awareness, confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills, while supporting both the child and their caregivers throughout the process.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about creating a welcoming, relaxed space where everyone feels comfortable. We’ll talk through your child’s history, current concerns, and what you hope to see improve.

For your child, the focus is on building trust and helping them feel at ease—there’s no pressure to open up right away. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying next steps so you leave with a clearer sense of how we can move forward together.
