Great to meet you!

Hi! As a seasoned clinical mental health professional, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of settings in agency, private practice, specialty treatment centers, and within K-12 school systems and higher education. I specialize in working with abuse, addiction, trauma, and grief and loss. I use experiential arts-based and creative expression modalities when appropriate, and offer virtual and in-person groups as needed for grief and loss, depression, anxiety, stress, and any other mental health occurrence causing significant distress and impact on one's life. I provide compassionate care that is humanistic first, with an added trauma-informed approach to treating a variety of mental health disorders. As a group practice owner and approved clinical supervisor, I also work with pre-licensed clinical masters level professionals whom I supervise, to provide access to care for scheduled appointments, as well as for more urgent requests for treatment when a client is needing a quicker response.

My approach to therapy

My approach is Humanistic, Person-Centered, and Trauma-Informed. I am trained in and have clinical experience with clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, which is a gold standard of treatment for depression and anxiety, as well as Solution-Focused and other modalities as listed in my profile.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect in a first session to be able to meet with me for the client to share their concern and reason for treatment at this time and to assess if I would be a good fit for them. Building rapport and sharing treatment goals would be what a client can expect from a first session. Often a first session is to also alleviate fears and anxieties around the stigma of talk therapy. At times, a first session brings up a needed referral to a medical provider or other specialist, in addition to establishing a talk therapy professional relationship.
