Nancy Weiner

I provide psychotherapy to individuals and couples facing a range of issues including depression, anxiety, family, relationship, work and interpersonal difficulties. Often, I meet people when distress and other symptoms occur in the context of life transitions during early adulthood, new marriage, new parenthood, a relationship break-up, or changing roles at different times in the life cycle.

I tailor my approach to each individual. I draw on my training in AEDP (an experiential, relational and body based model), DBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic psychotherapy and relational-systemic family therapy.

I bring warmth, patience, curiosity and a calming presence to my clients. We will develop a safe, collaborative, trusting relationship and explore feelings, thoughts and patterns in the present and from the past. We will cultivate your inner strengths and develop compassion and understanding for aspects of your self that are causing distress; positive change will become possible. You will learn new and effective ways to approach your challenges and live a happier and more satisfying life.
