What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and undertanf what brings you to therapy. I recognize that starting therapy may feel intimidating, soo I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

We will discuss your current concerns, personal hisotry, strengths, and any challenges you are experiencing. I will ask questions to gain a better understanding of your emotional, behavioral, and relational needs, while also giving you the opportunity to share what is most important to you, For children, and adolescents, I also work with parents or caregivers to gather information and identify areas of concerns.

Together, we will begin identifying goals for treatment based on your unique needs and desired outcomes. Common goals may include reducing symptoms of anxiety or depression, improving emotional regulation, developing healthy coping skills, managing behavioral concern, processing trauma, strengthening relationships, building self-esteem, or improving overall functioning and well-being.

My approach is collaborative and individualized, By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, an opportunity to ask questions, and the beginning of a treatment plan designed to help you achieve meaningful and lasting change. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
