Great to meet you!

Dr. Nanda Mamane is a dedicated licensed psychologist with diverse clinical experiences, ranging from helping children cope with trauma to supporting adults struggling with chronic physical and mental health issues. Her research and clinical work are guided by a social justice and equity lens, with a particular interest in bereavement and grief outcomes. She is committed to providing trauma-informed care and aims to contribute to the greater movement of enhancing psychoeducation, reducing stigma, and improving empathic medical care.

After earning her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) she completed her Postdoctoral residency at NSU’s Psychology Service Center, Adult Services Program. She completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship in Consultation/Liaison Services at Broward Health Medical Center. When she is not seeing clients, she serves as an adjunct professor and intensive supervisor at NSU’s College of Psychology.

My approach to therapy

I embrace an integrative approach to therapy that combines evidence-based strategies tailored to the specific needs of each client. I utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy, among others, to collaboratively develop a treatment plan to address client needs, concerns, and goals. I also consider the importance of physical health, understanding its vital influence on overall well-being. My goal is to help you achieve lasting change and improved mental health.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is both reflective and action oriented. We explore the “why,” but we also focus on “what now?”—integrating insight with meaningful change. My hope is that clients leave each session feeling more grounded, supported, and capable of moving forward in alignment with their values and goals. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trust.
