Great to meet you!

Nanette Allred, MS, LPC

I believe that everyone—regardless of age or life stage—has the capacity to grow, heal, and find renewed purpose. I am a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, CT with a Master of Science degree in Counseling. I also have a certificate as a school counselor from West Chester University, I have 30 years of experience counseling children, teens, adults, and seniors, I’ve helped people navigate ADHD, anxiety, careers, grief, life transitions, periods of emotional uncertainty and social skills with compassion and clarity. Many are looking for a space where they feel genuinely understood, valued, and encouraged to take meaningful steps forward. What sets me apart is my ability to meet people where they are, blending practical tools with warmth and real-life perspective to support lasting personal growth.

Using a blend of cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused & strength-based techniques, through compassionate conversation, I help clients build resilience, gain insight, and develop tools they can use in daily life. Whether you're looking for short-term counseling or deeper emotional healing through therapy, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of someone who truly understands, know that you’re not alone. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel safe to share, reflect, and take meaningful steps forward. I’d be honored to walk with you—please don’t hesitate to reach out when you’re ready.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work with clients in a warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented style that balances empathy with practical tools. I meet you where you are—whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, or school-related challenges—and help you build on your strengths to create lasting change. My approach is personalized and flexible, drawing from CBT, solution-focused techniques, play therapy, and strength-based methods.

I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults through transitions such as divorce, loss, academic stress, and emotional overwhelm. Whether we’re building coping skills, improving self-esteem, or navigating difficult emotions, I provide a calm, supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to grow.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater clarity, practical coping strategies, and a stronger sense of self. Together, we focus on goals like reducing anxiety, improving communication, managing stress, and building emotional resilience. I create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to explore challenges and confident to take steps forward. Each session is a space for reflection, growth, and real progress.
