A bit about my approach to therapy

Why movement? Because some experiences and feelings are beyond words. Dance/movement therapy (DMT) is the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being. When words are difficult to find or inadequate to express oneself, the body can be a safe medium to explore those deep emotions.

What you can expect from our first session

Dance/Movement Therapy is a form of mental health healing that focuses on movement as it emerges in the therapeutic relationship. Body movement simultaneously provides the means of assessment and the mode of intervention for Dance/Movement Therapy.
