Great to meet you!

My name is Naomi Powell. I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

I’ve worked as a nurse for 20 years. I have had many nursing roles which include mental health nursing, progressive care, emergency services, correctional health, and school nursing. I am also a nursing school instructor.

I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Science in nursing degree from Western Governors University, and a Post Masters Certificate in Mental Health (PMHNP) from Wilkes University.

I am a wife and a mother. I have 2 beautiful grandchildren who are my absolute favorite people in the world. I am a real Christian, so I don't judge. I enjoy reading and watching happy movies on Hallmark in my free time.

My approach to therapy

I believe that everyone should be their best selves, free from depression, anxiety, and other things that keep them down. I am passionate about our youth and their mental health. We use evidence-based practice and holistic care to treat each patient.

What you can expect from me

My primary goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their mental health concerns and work towards achieving their personal goals. During our sessions, clients can expect to gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will work on developing effective coping strategies and resilience to manage life's challenges.

I emphasize a collaborative approach, ensuring that each client feels heard and empowered in their journey towards mental wellness. Clients can also expect to receive evidence-based treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, fostering both immediate relief and long-term growth.

Ultimately, my aim is to help clients build confidence in their ability to navigate their mental health journey and improve their overall quality of life.
