Naomi Wiens

Hi! I’m Naomi. I am passionate about the work of reclaiming: space, emotion, autonomy, relationship to self and other, spirituality, and identity. I use an eclectic foundation of psychological theory- drawing from Psychodynamic, Depth, and Experiential approaches in meeting clients where they are. I enjoy incorporating strengths and interests clients bring into the therapeutic process, including art and musical expression.

I use an eclectic mix of Internal Family Systems, guided imagery, embodiment and meditative work, as well as art-based creative methods to assist clients in processing emotion within the body and better understand their internal world and how that impacts their relationships with others. I work with folks around religious trauma and spiritual reclamation, embodiment, identity formation, dream work, grief/loss, cultural and generational trauma, and working with artists and creativity.

After an initial session, folx usually feel relieved to have named some of their distress. It may feel daunting to think about trying to "catch a stranger up" on what you've been experiencing. My goal is to make sure that you are heard and that we discover what your goals are for this season of healing. After our first 4 sessions, I hope you leave sessions feeling that this is a helpful addition to your life and noticing a shift in your thought process and felt experience.
