Great to meet you!

When you’ve been carrying too much for too long, it can start to feel like no one really understands what’s happening beneath the surface. Anxiety may keep you constantly on edge, depression can make it harder to feel like yourself, or trauma may continue affecting your emotions, relationships, and sense of safety long after the experience itself has passed. Family conflict, grief, or relationship stress can make everything feel even heavier. I provide virtual therapy for adolescents and adults throughout Florida, with a focus on anxiety, depression, family issues, trauma, and PTSD. I also support clients navigating relationship concerns, grief and loss, stress, anger, OCD, and substance use or addiction when those challenges are part of the bigger picture. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and safe enough to be yourself while building the confidence and skills to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe your past can help us understand what you’re carrying, but it doesn’t have to determine where you go next. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and practical, with an emphasis on helping you understand patterns while also identifying realistic ways to create change in the present. Anxiety, depression, trauma, or PTSD may be what first brings you to therapy, while family dynamics, relationships, grief, anger, OCD, stress, or substance use may add important layers to what you’re experiencing. Rather than treating each concern as a separate problem, we’ll explore how they connect. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you identify and change patterns in thoughts and behaviors, Cognitive Processing Therapy to examine beliefs that may have developed after trauma, and Bowen Family Systems approaches to better understand how family relationships and patterns influence your emotional wellbeing. When appropriate, I may also incorporate play and art therapy techniques to create additional ways of expressing and processing experiences that can be difficult to put into words.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is a real relationship, and you don’t have to show up with the perfect words or have everything figured out before we begin. During our first few sessions, we’ll spend time getting to know one another, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying what you would genuinely like to feel or handle differently. From there, we’ll create goals together and find an approach that fits your needs, strengths, and pace. You can expect me to be warm, energetic, empowering, and genuine. I’ll listen without judgment, ask questions that help you see things from a new perspective, and bring humor into the room when it feels natural and helpful. Progress may look like feeling less controlled by anxiety or trauma, reconnecting with yourself during depression, communicating more openly, responding differently to anger or stress, processing grief, or creating healthier patterns in your relationships. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel consistently supported while becoming more confident in your ability to create the life and relationships you want.
