Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Natalia Black, a dually board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with nearly a decade of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care. I specialize in integrative, patient-centered mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

My background includes extensive work in both primary care and outpatient psychiatry, which allows me to approach each client with a holistic understanding of how physical and mental health intersect. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support for a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and sleep disturbances.

I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), with a clinical focus on improving sleep quality and mental health outcomes. My doctoral project explores how sleep education and the use of technology can help enhance both sleep hygiene and emotional wellness—a passion that deeply informs my current practice.

My practice is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where every client feels seen, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, I’m here to partner with you in finding lasting balance and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is holistic, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe that every individual’s mental health journey is unique, and I take the time to truly listen, understand, and tailor treatment to meet each client’s specific needs, values, and goals.

As a dually certified Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring a broad, integrative lens to care—one that considers both physical and psychological factors. I emphasize the connection between mind and body, and often incorporate lifestyle elements such as sleep, nutrition, stress management, and routine into our conversations and treatment planning.

My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and down-to-earth. I aim to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel comfortable sharing openly and empowered to take an active role in their care. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and have specialized training in managing conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma-related concerns. I also have a special interest in the relationship between sleep health and mental health, which is the focus of my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) studies.

In our work together, I may recommend medication, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, or other integrative strategies depending on your needs. Most importantly, I view our relationship as a partnership—your voice, experience, and insight are essential to the healing process.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect our sessions to be a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where their experiences are heard, respected, and valued. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental environment that fosters trust, curiosity, and growth.

My goal is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, identify patterns that may be affecting their well-being, and develop practical strategies for managing symptoms and improving daily functioning. Over time, clients often report increased emotional resilience, improved mood, better focus and sleep, and a stronger sense of control in their lives.

Depending on your individual needs, our work may involve:

  • Clarifying a diagnosis and understanding your symptoms
  • Exploring the connection between mental and physical health
  • Developing personalized treatment plans that may include medication, therapy referrals, and lifestyle changes
  • Building skills in emotional regulation, stress management, and communication
  • Supporting you (or your child) through developmental transitions or life challenges

Ultimately, I want clients to leave sessions feeling more empowered, informed, and supported in their journey toward mental wellness. I view healing as a process—and I’m here to walk alongside you with care, clinical expertise, and compassion.
