Great to meet you!

A little about my background: I'm an independently licensed mental health counselor and clinical supervisor. Graduating from a CACREP accredited program, I've held my independent license since 2013 and worked with various populations over the years from children and adolescents to adults. Overall, I particularly enjoy empowering clients of any age to learn and discover their own potential and capabilities when managing their mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is a combination of several modalities depending on the need. Cognitive behavioral therapy is often utilized alongside other modalities such as dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness training. Sessions will also include screening tools when needed to track and assess levels of symptoms that interfere with your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Hello and welcome. If you are new to mental health treatment and feeling unsure about the process please know this can be very normal, therapy comes with misconceptions and stigmas at times. I can explain the typical progression of sessions based on your needs and answer any questions you may have as we begin. My sessions are via telehealth which allows much flexibility in our meeting location and is often more comfortable than attending an office in-person. All meetings are private and confidential with few limitations to confidentiality which we will discuss in detail. Working in behavioral health for several years, with various populations and through different phases of my own life, I've found that I truly enjoy assisting the therapeutic journey, particularly helping clients reflect on situations and realizing new solutions to move forward. Strategies that may have worked for us in our youth may not be as effective later in life. I feel my therapy sessions are safe spaces where you can be honest and free of judgment or criticism. We all need extra support from time to time, therapy can be such a helpful step along the way. My hope is to help you begin finding clarity, stability, and a better mental space altogether.
