Great to meet you!

My name is Natalie and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio. I graduated from Denison University with a degreein Economics and German, and earned a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland University. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughters, reading, playing Euchre (it's a Midwest thing!), and traveling. With years of business, counseling, and life experience to draw from, I look forward to walking alongside clients as they learn and grow through life's difficult periods - learning to manage the tough times and absorb the sense of accomplishment that comes from looking to the past, living in the present, glancing toward the future and thinking, "I've got this!"

My approach to therapy

I specialize in working with adults (18+) journeying through a period of change in life such as: post-high school decisions and adjustments, college and new job situations, family of origin struggles, workplace personality differences, employment stressors, parenting challenges, retirement, navigating life with vision impairment/blindness, and financial/relationship with money difficulties. The approach I take with my clients is collaborative since I believe each person is the expert in their own life. My approach is solution-focused, non-judgmental, and rooted in the belief that self-awareness, self-advocacy, and healthy boundaries lead to empowerment.

What you can expect from me

I provide therapy via synchronous (live) online sessions that clients access from the convenience, comfort, and privacy ot their home, work, or other private space. In our first session, I like to get to know and understand a client's personality, personal strengths, life challenges, and anything they think will be helpful in our work together. We will collaborate to set goals for counseling as early as possible, generally establishing at least 2 goals during our first session. Counseling is a process that evolves over time and involves a lot of trust, so I don't expect clients to share anything that is outside of their comfort zone at any point. I will work alonside clients to acheive goals that are unique to their challenges and their healing process.
