Great to meet you!

Hey! My name is Natalie Curry-Sanders, and I’m an LCSW and LCADC with more than 10 years of experience in the social work field. I live and work in a rural area of Kentucky, and I’m especially passionate about making sure people in rural communities have access to quality mental health and substance use services—because everyone deserves support, no matter where they live! For the past 3+ years, I’ve primarily worked as a therapist, supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health challenges. I love helping people recognize their strengths, learn practical tools for navigating life’s challenges, and discover that recovery and positive change really are possible. I’m excited to connect, learn from others, and hopefully bring a little warmth, humor, and encouragement along the way!

My approach to therapy

I utilize evidence-based approaches, including (CBT), (DBT), motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and relapse-prevention strategies. My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and empowering, with an emphasis on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. While I may provide guidance, honest feedback, and gentle challenges when appropriate, clients remain in the driver’s seat of their therapeutic journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and supported as we begin working together. I recognize the strength and courage it can take to reach out for therapy, and I want you to know that you are entering a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself. We’ll spend some time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and learning more about what you hope to gain from the experience. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and creating a plan that feels meaningful and realistic for you. Most importantly, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door—we’ll take it one step at a time, together.
