Great to meet you!

I work with individuals, couples and families seeking deeper connection to themselves and to the world. We are wired for connection, and self-love is not a learning process, but an unlearning process. We will work together to pinpoint the moments that alienated you from yourself and from the healing frequency of your voice, and breathe loving empowerment into the pockets of yourself that have been made small from shame. I bring humor, warmth, curiosity and genuine, transformative care to the therapeutic process. I believe therapy is love work, and if you choose to work with me, we will both grow and learn from each other in ways that will be transformative. It is a privilege to witness and support clients as they come home to their sacred and precious spirit. I have a special place in my heart for work with queer, trans and non-binary clients, as well as clients navigating grief, loss and environmental trauma. State sanctioned violence and cultural messaging that punishes and shames, whether that's because of the color of our skin or the shape of our bodies, will be systematically challenged and separated from the deep truths that your body has always known—that you belong in this world and that your magic is unique and vital. I received my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University in 2021.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am trained in EMDR, grief therapy, DBT, narrative therapy, and anti-systems therapy (which means challenging the institutional, colonial messaging that alienates us from the wisdom in our bodies). The highest predictor of life satisfaction is the quality of our relationships, and at the end of the day, I simply see therapy as a relationship that supports your spiritual growth. I work hard to understand what accountability and safety looks like to you in the wake of what you've experienced so you can feel emboldened to go bravely into the parts of you that need your holding and that contain pain. We avoid pain at our own peril, at the cost of our understanding. We can bear much more than we think, especially when we feel connected and seen and in touch with our power, something as a provider I strive to cultivate in our shared space.

What you can expect from our first session

My hope is that clients take from session a sense of empowerment, an understanding of their own capacity, capability and magic. We need others to help us see ourselves clearly, and I hope by cultivating a brave space for clients to look at issues and strengths in their lives head on, they can recognize the beauty in their voice. I typically work with clients long term, and having a space and being witnessed as your life path unfolds is a gift you give to yourself (and to me getting to witness you deepen and grow along your path!).
