I started my counseling career in the Philadelphia area, working in outpatient, school, and community treatment team settings. I continuously saw clients with co-occurring chronic mental and physical health conditions. That led me to create my own practice where I focus on the mind-body connection.
I practice from an integrated, strengths-based perspective primarily drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
At this time, I am accepting new adults for individual sessions.
I take an Integrated and Process-Based approach.
Research supports using an integrated approach to address the strong link between mental and physical health.
Rather than focusing on solving a small issue from week to week, I will pull back, observe the patterns, and focus our work on identifying and exploring the processes that occur across the various areas of your life. We will shift the discussion from the problem to taking action on your values.
Our first session is a time for us both to ask questions, identify the areas you want to focus on, explore your strengths, begin to create goals, and formulate a plan for our work together. As we progress, you will begin to have a new understanding of yourself and the cycles or patterns that play out in your life. If you have any questions about what our work together might look like, please feel free to reach out to me or schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
