Natalie Patterson

I'm glad you're here! I have a BA in Psychology from Clemson University and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I have been in clinical practice for 3 years but draw on my prior work experience as a foundation for my therapeutic approach. In my previous work as director of a local mentoring organization, I trained hundreds of volunteers to understand the impacts of trauma. I am passionate about presenting brain-based research in an accessible way. I enjoy working with adults of all ages who are struggling with a variety of concerns, including insecurities, anxiety, depression, past trauma, relationship conflict, and phase-of-life issues.

My personal and professional experience give me a specific interest in educating on and normalizing the impacts of trauma, and to help you identify effective ways to process difficult life events. If your trauma is too difficult to talk about, I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, an evidence-based approach which helps you to keep the knowledge of your event while losing the pain associated with it.

I do not believe there is a "one size fits all" approach to therapy, so you can expect that I will meet you where you are and come alongside you on your therapeutic journey.
