Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm excited to get to know you. I'm a licensed independent clinical social worker in DC, trained at Howard University, and I've spent nearly two decades helping people work through anxiety, depression, family conflict, and relationship strain. I show up as a Black woman therapist who understands how culture and identity shape the way stress shows up in your life — and I bring an open-minded, creative, solution-oriented style to every session. Know that you're working with someone who has spent 21 years in this field and still finds this work more meaningful than the day before.

My approach to therapy

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Expect a person-centered approach built around you — not a script. I draw on CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, and I adjust which tools we use based on what's actually happening in your life that week. If you're navigating stress, anxiety, a hard family dynamic, or a relationship that's lost its footing, I'll help you name what's underneath it and build a concrete plan to move through it — not just talk around it.

What you can expect from me

Come as you are — there's no agenda to perform. In our first session, tell me what brought you in and what you're hoping is different six months from now. I'll ask focused questions, not a checklist, and we'll leave with a working sense of what we're solving for and how we'll know it's working. You set the pace; I bring the structure. I provide a professional, safe and supportive environment to help you succeed. Therapy and the ability to help people is my life's passion. Thank you for taking the first step big step in looking for a Therapist. I appreciate your consideration and hope to begin to work with you soon!
