Hello! I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with more than a decade of critical care nursing and six years in nurse practitioner roles. Born and raised in Ukraine, I understand the challenges of adapting to life in a new country—and I bring this empathy to every client. My own experience as a shift worker has shaped my commitment to supporting healthcare professionals and others with practical strategies and compassionate care.

I enjoy time with my husband, two children, and our lively cats. Cooking, reading, and exploring parks bring me balance outside work, and the beach is my sanctuary for reflection and renewal.

You’ll find a safe, welcoming space in my practice, whether your journey is just beginning or you’re ready for meaningful change. I speak Ukrainian and welcome clients from all cultural backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

By blending natural supplements, Western medicine, and thoughtful deprescribing, I aim to empower you with choices that promote healing, resilience, and lasting mental wellness. Every appointment is a chance to feel heard, understood, and hopeful about the future.

Areas of expertise:

Natural Supplements as Part of Mental Wellness Many patients benefit from natural supplements like omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, magnesium, and herbal remedies to support mood, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep. These supplements can enhance brain health and overall well-being, complementing traditional treatments under professional guidance. Safety is my top priority, ensuring supplements are chosen thoughtfully to avoid interactions and maximize benefits.

Evidence-Based Western Medicine Medications prescribed through Western medicine remain a cornerstone of effective psychiatric care, especially for managing conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and anxiety. I use the latest evidence-based approaches to select and adjust medications to fit each individual’s health profile and lifestyle.

Safe and Compassionate Deprescribing For many, long-term medication use raises questions about safety, side effects, and personal preferences. I offer gentle, patient-centered deprescribing—carefully planned and monitored medication tapering—to minimize discomfort and support your desire for a balanced approach to mental health. This process is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to your pace and goals.

Welcoming All Ages and Needs

From child and adolescent psychiatry to perinatal and maternal mental health, I offer welcoming care to families and diverse communities. For shift workers, patients with chronic illness, and those navigating major life changes, I am ready to listen, understand, and help restore balance.

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment we will conduct detailed psychiatric assessment and overview of lifestyle habits that can affect your mental health:

Nutrition:

“You are what you eat” is a well known saying that holds true in mental health. Nutritious diet with focus on whole foods that includes Omega 3 fatty acid, vitamins and minerals is essential for mental health. Together we can find diet modification strategies that are not overwhelming but make steps in the right direction.

Sleep:

Quality sleep can support emotional wellbeing, cognitive function and increase stress tolerance. Poor or insufficient sleep increases negative emotional responses, making it harder to cope with stress and increasing the risk for anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. Prioritizing good sleep habits can improve emotional resilience and overall mental well-being

Supplements and herbs:

I am a strong proponent of incorporating supplements and herbs in order to treat common psychiatric conditions. The goal is to maintain balance of nutrients and vitamins and to reduce psychiatric medication use to the lowest possible level or even eliminate it completely after a period of stability.

Life balance:

Exercise, meditation and mindfulness routines have proven benefits to release endorphins and serotonin, which in return improves mood and boosts energy.

Interpersonal relationships:

Relationships play important role in our mental health and can either help or be a detriment to your mental health. We will examine your close relationships and sexual intimacy (for adults only) to find areas for improvement. Healthy romantic relationships have been proven to decrease stress, release feel-good hormones and promote psychiatric well-being.
