Great to meet you!

Healing is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is the path to it. My journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor was shaped by nearly a decade as a police officer, four years as a classroom teacher, and ten years as a background investigator retained by the federal government. Those experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of stress, trauma, and the weight that comes with careers in service and they prepared me to meet clients with both professional expertise and genuine lived understanding. I work primarily with adults and adolescents, blending CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused approaches with a deeply human, heart-centered style.

Life doesn’t always come with a roadmap and sometimes the weight of anxiety, depression, or an unexpected life transition can leave you feeling lost, disconnected, or simply exhausted. I’m here to help you find your footing again.

Ok, you’ve made it this far. (smile) Something in you is already reaching toward something better and that takes courage! Reaching out to a therapist can definitely feel vulnerable, but it’s one of the most powerful decisions you can make for yourself. It’s a declaration that your peace matters. Let’s navigate these waves of life together! (Smile)

My approach to therapy

My work is rooted in DBT, CBT and Solution-Focused techniques because they offer both practical, real-world skills and deeper insight into the patterns shaping your life. Sessions with me are a balance of structured and conversational. Meaning, we will work toward clear goals, while also giving you space to process, reflect and simply be heard. I tailor every treatment plan to the client.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I'll spend time learning about your story, what brings you to therapy, your strengths, and what you'd like to accomplish. We'll discuss your goals, answer any questions you may have, and work together to develop a plan that feels meaningful and achievable. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your journey ahead.
