Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas, and I work virtually with adults across the state. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, and relationship challenges -- with a particular passion for walking alongside women and people who feel like they're holding everything together while quietly struggling inside. I'm a Black therapist who believes deeply in culturally affirming care, which means I bring my full self into the room and I don't ask you to leave any part of yourself at the door. My approach is practical and solutions-focused -- I want every session to feel like it moved something forward, not just gave you more to think about.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, warm, and direct. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you connect what you're thinking and feeling to what you actually want your life to look like -- and then build a realistic path to get there. I also use Motivational Interviewing to help you tap into your own readiness for change, because lasting progress comes from you, not from me. Sessions feel like a real conversation: honest, grounded, and oriented toward action. I won't just ask how that makes you feel -- I'll help you figure out what to do about it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to feel or be able to do differently. There's no pressure to share everything right away -- we'll go at your pace. By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of what we'll work on together and what kind of progress is possible. Most clients leave the first session feeling heard and a little lighter, which is exactly the goal.
