Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDRIA Certified Therapist with 15 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate healing, growth, and emotional well-being. I completed my EMDR training through EMDR Consulting and have since incorporated it as a central part of my clinical work. I specialize in working with individuals affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment challenges, and relationship issues. Some of the populations I most enjoy supporting include those navigating abuse and neglect histories, PTSD, mood disorders, domestic violence, sexual trauma, and family system issues. My approach is integrative, drawing from EMDR along with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy to support each client’s unique healing journey. I am deeply drawn to EMDR because of its ability to access and resolve trauma at a deeper level, allowing clients to experience meaningful relief and transformation. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing is possible and that people are resilient. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping clients move toward meaningful change. I work with individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in painful patterns, or struggling with the effects of past experiences. Together we create a safe and supportive space to explore what is happening and develop practical ways to move forward.

I specialize in trauma-informed therapy and use approaches such as EMDR to help clients process difficult experiences so they no longer hold the same emotional weight. I also integrate strategies that support emotional regulation, insight, and resilience so clients can better understand themselves and respond differently to stress and triggers.

In our work together, I value honesty, curiosity, and collaboration. My goal is to help clients feel understood while also gently challenging patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Over time, many clients begin to experience greater clarity, relief from distress, and a stronger sense of confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. You’ll have the opportunity to share what has been most difficult lately, as well as any goals or changes you hope to see in your life. We will also review relevant background information so I can better understand your experiences and the challenges you may be facing.

My goal during this session is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and not rushed. You can share at your own pace, and there is no expectation to discuss anything you are not ready for. Together we will begin identifying priorities for treatment and talk about approaches that may be helpful, including trauma-informed methods such as EMDR when appropriate.

By the end of the session, most clients leave with a clearer sense of how therapy can support them, what our work together might look like, and the next steps toward their goals.
