Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience supporting adults, adolescents, and families through a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges. My professional background includes both clinical mental health counseling and school-based counseling, which has given me the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at many different stages of life.

In my practice, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and family difficulties, trauma-related concerns, grief and loss, low self-esteem, life transitions, attachment concerns, boundary-setting difficulties, and challenges with emotional regulation. I also enjoy helping clients who find themselves repeating unhealthy relationship patterns or who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I incorporate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while also exploring the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be influencing how you think, feel, and respond today. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard and understood, but also a place where meaningful change can occur.

My goal is to help clients develop greater insight, strengthen coping skills, build healthier relationships, and feel more confident navigating difficult situations. I strive to create an environment that is warm, nonjudgmental, and genuine while still providing structure, feedback, and tools that clients can use outside of the therapy room.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I believe clients benefit most when they feel genuinely heard and understood while also receiving practical guidance, honest feedback, and tools they can use in their everyday lives.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strengths-based techniques. Together, we explore how your thoughts, emotions, past experiences, and relationship patterns may be affecting your current well-being. From there, we work on developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, setting appropriate boundaries, and creating more balanced ways of thinking and responding.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Some clients may need a safe space to process difficult experiences, while others may be looking for structure, accountability, and concrete strategies for change. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you move toward greater insight, confidence, emotional wellness, and healthier relationships.

Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels warm, respectful, nonjudgmental, and genuine. I want clients to leave sessions feeling supported, but also with a clearer understanding of themselves and practical steps they can take toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what you would like to change or improve through therapy. I understand that starting therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable or overwhelming, so I aim to make the first session feel welcoming, conversational, and judgment-free.

We will discuss what brought you to therapy, any current concerns or stressors, relevant personal history, and the goals you would like to work toward. I may also ask questions about your relationships, coping strategies, support system, and previous experiences with therapy so that I can better understand you as a whole person.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. Part of our work together is helping you make sense of what you are experiencing and determining where to begin. We will start developing a treatment plan that reflects your needs, priorities, and comfort level.

You can also expect me to be an active participant in the process. I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, offer feedback and perspective, and begin identifying patterns or practical strategies that may be helpful. By the end of the first session, my hope is that you feel heard, have a clearer sense of what we can work on together, and feel comfortable deciding whether I am the right therapist for you.
