In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. My approach is conversational, reflective, and grounded in understanding how your life experiences may have shaped the way you think, feel, and respond to the world around you.
This is also a space where you do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We can start wherever you are. I may ask questions about your background, relationships, emotions, stressors, or patterns you’ve noticed in your life so I can better understand you as a whole person.
My style can include humor, honesty, emotional depth, and practical conversations about behavior change and self-awareness. I believe the mind is powerful, and part of therapy is becoming more aware of the thoughts, reactions, beliefs, and ego patterns that may be influencing your life — often without you realizing it.
The first session is not about judgment or “fixing” you. It is about building comfort, understanding your story, and beginning a process of awareness, growth, healing, and meaningful change together.
