Great to meet you!

I'm Natasha, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I run a small virtual practice called Grounded Psychotherapy, and I work with young adults and adults.

People usually find me when something has been building for a while. Anxiety that won't quiet down. A transition that looked exciting on paper and feels like too much in real life. Old hurt that resurfaces at inconvenient moments. An ADHD or neurodivergent brain that seems to run on its own schedule. Or just a low hum of stuckness that's hard to name.

My approach to therapy

I'm collaborative and direct. You won't get silent nodding from me — we'll talk, we'll figure out what's actually driving the pattern, and we'll build skills you can use between sessions.

I draw on several approaches depending on what you need rather than fitting you to one model. I'm trained in EMDR and somatic trauma processing for working through traumatic memories and the way trauma lives in the body. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you loosen the grip of difficult thoughts and move toward what actually matters to you. I also draw on Internal Family Systems, polyvagal theory, and breathwork to help you understand your own reactions with more compassion and less self-judgment.

What ties it together is a belief that you aren't broken and don't need fixing. Usually something that once protected you is now getting in your way, and we can work with it rather than against it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is low pressure. You don't need to prepare anything or have your story organized — I'll ask questions and we'll find the thread together.

We'll talk about what brought you in now, what you've already tried, and what a better version of daily life would actually look like for you. I'll ask about your history and current supports, and I'll share how I work so you know what to expect. You're welcome to ask me anything, including whether I think I'm the right fit.

By the end, we'll have a rough sense of where to start and a plan for the next few sessions. Fit matters more than credentials in this work, so if I'm not the right person, I'll say so and help point you somewhere better.
