Great to meet you!

Since I was a child, I've wondered at the nature of human suffering. It was such a part of daily life - people angry or scared, sad, overwhelmed, confused... Making valiant efforts to get by, but too often missing out on real joy or satisfying inspiration. I knew there was more - and over time, came to see that solutions are everywhere. And that each one of us can bring just the insight or choice that's needed to turn things around. True relief is available. I want that for you.

My approach to therapy

In my work, I have found that suffering comes in discrete moments. It's not about "issues," it's about what you feel. And healing isn't about "trying" or "letting go." It's taking a breath... And making a choice. And the willingness to see what happens.

Finally, healing is being more fully where you are, right in this moment, just as it is. And seeing the things that bring suffering close, and simply saying, "no. I'd rather be happy, thanks."

What you can expect from me

In practical terms, our work may involve experiencing feelings that you've avoided (whether pleasant or painful). We may explore your thinking about your life (our personal stories often bring trouble). We may focus on actions you can take right away, to address your situation (there are always more than you think). We may even talk about ethics or the nature of free will. Always our goal will be the same - to help you live a freer life.

Don't settle for anything less.
