Great to meet you!

I've spent my career in community mental health, working with adults, teens, couples, and families navigating real, everyday challenges - relationship stress, family conflict, financial pressure, and anxiety. I know that asking for help isn't easy, and I don't take that lightly. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Virginia, and I offer telehealth sessions so you can get support from anywhere in the state - no commute, no waiting rooms. I accept most major insurance plans including Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser, Carelon, and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, so cost is rarely a reason to put this off.

My approach to therapy

I'm direct, practical, and I focus on what actually works for your life. I work from a strengths-based perspective, which means I'm not here to tell you what's wrong with you. I'm here to help you figure out what you're already doing right and build on it. I specialize in working with adults, teens, couples, and families. Whether it's anxiety, conflict at home, stress that's gotten out of hand, a teenager who's shutting down, or a relationship that's run out of steam, I'll help you identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck and develop strategies that fit your real life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is just a conversation - not a quiz. I'll ask about what's going on, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. You don't need to have it all figured out. Most people leave the first session feeling relieved just to have said it out loud to someone who understand. By the end, we'll have a sense of what we want to work on together and how often we should meet.
