Great to meet you!

Life often throws us out of our comfort zone. You may be dealing with a change in relationships, work, or just trying to make it all work. Even mastering one or more areas of your life may leave you feeling like you are floundering to deal with something that you just can't seem to get, no matter how hard you try. Therapy can be a great way to address these struggles, to find out what challenges you may be working through and help to identify ways to address your pain points and meet your goals. We can work together to find a path to a better life.

As a Counseling Psychologist, I focus on the unique context of each of my clients - to help them utilize their unique strengths to meet their goals. Your problems aren't just a list of symptoms; you've learned to deal with challenges to get where you are today. I can help you find where you could use some new tools and use them to meet those goals.

I have over 7 years of experience in helping adult clients from a variety of age ranges and backgrounds. I'm very familiar with the issues of Veterans, Service members, and their families. I am licensed in both VA and MD and have trained in CBT, ACT, and CPT.

You've worked hard to get where you are today. You've dealt with challenges and developed strengths that will help you get to a better life. We can work together to build on your strengths, focus on your goals, and take the next steps in making your life be what you want it to be. Schedule a session today!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I generally use Motivational Interviewing in initial sessions to focus on needs and goals for therapy. Interventions will depend on primary goals and client strengths; I generally use Cognitive Behavior Therapy interventions but will adjust to meet client needs and what works for you. The focus is on improving your life and using the tools we need to get there.

What you can expect from our first session

I work with my clients to focus on their ideal life and collaborate with them to take steps toward achieving their goals. During initial sessions we will explore your life experiences and collaborate on a plan address any challenges and utilize your strengths to move towards your goals. My clients appreciate that I meet them where they are and customize my approach to meet their needs.
