I own and operate OakRings Christian Counseling but when I'm not in the office I like to be out in God’s creation preferably with my family that also share this passion. A father of 4 kids ranging from 19yrs old to 9yrs old, I also enjoy practicing, coaching and playing sports with the kids. I am blessed with my wife Karalee of 20 years and I'm looking forward to the next 20.

I'm an optimist about people inside and outside the therapy room. I'm laid back by nature but am always driven to help my clients receive the care they need as quickly and efficiently as possible. I'm passionate about relationships and believe that "Relationships are Our Legacy". It's our relationships we leave behind so lets fight for them!

I have a very personable approach and understand that we all need help from time to time. I believe that there are always steps we can take to grow and overcome the struggle we're facing. I enjoy helping each client realize their potential in redeeming their past and reclaiming their future. While therapy is a serious discipline, I enjoy a good laugh and try not to take myself too seriously.

I specialize in working with couples helping to improve relationships: marriage or pre-marriage counseling. I also spend a great deal of time working with families as they navigate parenthood.

Anxiety is at epidemic proportions here in the U.S. I have had and continue to have many clients striving to overcome the smothering effect of anxiety in their life. I'm happy to report that with active participation, many have regained a more free and productive life.

When beginning with a new client I always want to get to know them in a somewhat natural way. While I'll never avoid the issue at hand, I understand that there is a lot more that defines a person beyond their current struggle. I want to come alongside and help each client see their potential and set measurable goals that will help focus the therapy to reach the client's desired outcomes.
