Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I approach counseling from a humanistic perspective. In session, I work with the person sitting in front of me and treat them as the human being they are. A person is much more than their diagnosis and much more than the symptoms which accompany diagnosis.

My approach to therapy

Life has sharp edges, and sometimes we bump against them (and yes, as a trauma survivor myself, I know it feels at times as if we've fallen and hit every sharp edge on the way down). I treat a variety of life's sharp edges; anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, self-esteem, and the general issues which affect us all. When treating a person, it is a collaborative effort between counselor and client, focused on improvement as determined by the client themselves.

What you can expect from me

As we navigate through counseling, we will explore individual strengths, values, wants, and needs, all while sharing a space of ease and establishing a sense of safety. Counseling should be an environment where we can challenge, develop, and adopt change while feeling safe together.
