Great to meet you!

Personally and professionally, I believe in the importance of genuine connection and authenticity. I am open to whatever methods will work best for each individual and believe that treating each individual with care and respect is essential for good work. I have been working as a therapist in various areas for close to 15 years now and have experience with everything from young children to the very elderly. I cannot stress enough how important it is to me that every person is treated as the individual that they are, and that getting to know the whole person is essential to me for the best therapy outcome.

My approach to therapy

I believe that as a provider, our job is to hold a mirror up and help each person see themselves more clearly; most of the time, this is helping people see how wonderful they really are and moving past damage that has been done by others either intentionally or unintentionally. The greatest characteristics needed for this are the ability to connect, be humble, and empathize; all of which I strive to excel at daily.

Additionally, my personal experience as a human with neurodiversity is something I regard as a strength, it allows me to provide neuroaffirming care as well as see things from a different perspective easily which many of my clients express appreciation for.

What you can expect from me

I believe the first session(or more if needed!) should be about getting to know each other. Opening up to a random stranger can feel incredibly intimidating, so I am happy to take the process as slowly as you need to go. Research shows that the relationship between the individual in therapy and the therapist is one of the greatest helping factors in finding success.
