Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, which I earned in 2011. I believe in competent, compassionate, clinical care. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people across a wide range of settings, including medical and mental health care, emergency services, inpatient mental health care, veteran care, and correctional settings. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on the many ways life circumstances, stress, loss, trauma, and major transitions can impact our emotional well-being. I am also a mother of 3 adult children and a veteran, and these parts of my life have shaped me both personally and professionally. I understand that life doesn’t always fit neatly into categories, and sometimes the person sitting across from you needs someone who can understand the complexities of balancing responsibilities, relationships, work, identity, and personal well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is inquisitive, solution-oriented, and empowering. I believe that clients often possess many of the answers they are seeking within themselves. My role is not to tell you who to be or what choices to make, but to create a safe, supportive space where we can explore what is already within you and bring those answers to the surface. Through curiosity, compassion, and thoughtful conversation, I help clients gain clarity, recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and identify practical steps toward meaningful change. I believe therapy is a collaborative process—and you are the expert on your own life. My job is to help you uncover what you already know, strengthen your confidence in yourself, and move forward with greater intention and empowerment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. I’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’re experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can expect thoughtful questions, genuine curiosity, and a judgment-free space to be yourself. I’ll help you explore your experiences, recognize your strengths, and identify what may be getting in the way of the life you want.My approach is solution-oriented, empowering, and collaborative. I don’t believe I have all the answers—you are the expert on your life. My role is to help you uncover the answers, strengths, and possibilities that are already within you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Just show up as you are. We’ll start from there.
