Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Nazare Magaz, a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst. With over 30 years of experience and three doctorates, I bring a high level of clinical expertise, centered on Attachment Theory and Mindfulness. My approach is deeply rooted in understanding how early relationships shape our present experiences, combined with a mindful, compassionate approach to healing.

In our work together, I am dedicated to helping you grow and improve your life, focusing on alleviating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My primary specializations in Attachment Theory and Mindfulness will guide you toward deeper self-understanding and emotional well-being. Additionally, I bring expertise in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Mentalization-Based Treatment to support your healing journey. While I also incorporate Dialectical approaches, my primary focus remains on Attachment and Mindfulness.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you cultivate calmness, joy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, warm and creative, whereby we work together to understand you better and at a deeper level. From this deeper understanding we can begin to untangle old ways of being and problems that have arisen from past experiences that are probably causing current difficulties in your life now.

What you can expect from me

To be listened to with presence and curiosity. To help you get curious about yourself and your thematic ways of being and thinking. To clarify what you would like our focus in treatment to be so we can be on the same page as to what areas to tackle together. Ideally we will begin to create a sense of hope and even excitement about the journey of clear understanding we are about to embark on together.
