Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. Seeking help takes courage, and finding the right therapist is an important step toward creating meaningful change. Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I spent more than 20 years in the business world and later worked as an educator serving diverse populations. These experiences provide me with a practical understanding of the pressures and anxiety people face in their careers, relationships, families, and daily lives. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward. Through gaining insights into our lives and changing our thinking, we have the opportunity to grow elevate our live to new heights.
I specialize in working with adults and couples experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, and chronic stress. Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling to manage emotions, or disconnected from your partner, therapy can help you gain clarity, develop effective coping skills, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand that many current struggles are rooted in past experiences, attachment wounds, and learned survival strategies. Together, we will explore these patterns with compassion and curiosity rather than judgment. My approach focuses on helping clients understand the "why" behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for lasting change.
For individuals with ADHD, I help clients improve focus, organization, emotional regulation, communication, and follow-through while addressing the frustration, self-criticism, and relationship difficulties that often accompany ADHD. For those experiencing anxiety or depression, I provide evidence-based strategies to reduce symptoms, increase resilience, and reconnect with a greater sense of purpose and well-being.
In couples counseling, I help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, navigate conflict more effectively, and deepen emotional connection. My goal is not to determine who is right or wrong, but to help couples better understand one another and create healthier patterns of interaction.
I believe therapy should be both compassionate and actionable. Together, we will identify your strengths, address the obstacles like anxiety, depression, trauma, etc standing in your way, and create a path toward the life and relationships you want.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
